Handwoven Fabric

From cashmere to cotton, the fabrics and yarns created at Pine Ledge Fiber Studio offer an opportunity for you to experience and enjoy the special qualities associated with handwoven fabric.

Unless specifically identified as 'handspun', these pieces have been woven using commercially available, mill spun yarns. If you are interested in items made with handspun yarn, please follow the links to Handspun Handwoven, (which will be posted soon) Dyeing and Hats.

Toweling

	The throws pictured here are a few of the color combinations I've experimented with. They make perfect 'wraps' for porch sitters, excellent covers for napping, and, since they are so easy to care for (machine wash, tumble dry), they also work beautifully as picnic or beach blankets. Hand sewn hems can be substituted on custom orders. The hand twisted fringe is not recommended for use as a baby blanket.

	Size is approximately 40" wide by 80" long

The shawls pictured below are examples of the type I regularly weave. They are a combination of rayon and cotton with a surface texture of tiny jewel-like 'seeds' that reflect and sparkle in the light. Approximately 19" wide X 72" long, the variegated colors in the yarn assure that each shawl is slightly different. The current price for one of these shawls is $235, and does not include shipping. Other shawls include those with hand dyed effects, different fibers and yarns, and slightly different sizes in response to customer suggestions and preferences.
