Handspun, Hand Woven Shawls, Stoles & Scarves
Hand spinning lends itself to use in accessories - relatively small pieces - where
drape, softness and warmth are accentuated in a luxurious yet functional fabric. The
unusual softness and hand are unlike any that can be created from commercial yarns.
Starting with a variety of specialty fibers and fiber blends, the yarns used here
are handspun, plied and then hand woven in either plain weave or 2/2 twill. Each
piece is hand finished. Hemstitching secures the weaving and twisted fringe
prevents fraying. Approximate sizes are listed below. Length does not include
fringe (5-7"). Yarn samples are available. Fibers and colors are subject to availability.

Hand Woven Scarves & Shawls
60% Cotton/40% Rayon
These scarves have a wonderful drape and sparkle. A variegated 'knot' or seed yarn is used in the warp creating unique color patterns in each piece. The standard and medium width scarves work well with a jacket or coat, or as a decorative accent over a shirt or sweater. The narrow scarf is perfect under the lapels of a blazer or shirt collar, and many people use them as a belt, sash, or hair wrap. Length and width can be custom ordered at additional cost.
